What a semester. This could possibly be one to remember, not just in the case of DRIZAWING2 but in all classes. It certainly the smallest class that I've had so far. When it comes to the class/homework, I think there was some slight improvement from the start. If anyone else saw it, it was because I probably worked it. Though a lot of it was frustrating ((White conte on Black paper but I'm not picking favorites)) I never expected that I could draw what I drew. If I never come back to MCA, I will take what I have learned and try my best to become a success at my craft. Some objectives like the white conte on black paper, is most likely the most challenging for me, I know that there was substance in learning what I could from that.

Applying the newer skills to my sketchbook seemed kind of scary because in the back of my mind I did not want to mess up too bad. I wanted to apply the skills but at the same time, I was trying to impress you....I know realize I should not have given a fuck about how the picture looks, rather did I understand the concept you were trying to teach. I'll do this now just in case I never get another chance to.. Thank You Jason Cole for teaching me theses new skills. This was basically my favorite class because it is the closest to my major..I appreciate the chance to have been your student. If I ever make it big, I will not forget you. Overall I think I should get a B or a B+..xD

Here I've tried out the cut paper as value, it wasn't difficult and I like how it came out even though some places don't exactly match up. That doesn't bother me. I guess I should try it out a little more to get the hang of it..xD

As you can see Frank Frezetta gives depth to the female figures, giving them curves that look just delicious. Everything about values that I've learned I will most def apply to my future drawings.(((Cuz If you notice my earlier pics those girls look flat..!!)))))

I feel really good about the progress I've made in this class. using my sketchbook as a tool has made me look at other artist, mainly Frank Frazetta for his style of naked women.. It is not only a pleasure to look but as well absorb his technique. The way he draws women (as beautiful and full bodied) inspires a kind of new sexuality in which I'd like to express through my own drawings. The pictures that I've already posted were drawn this past summer and when I drew each one I thought about how far I've come since I first decided to learn how to draw a female body. There has been an improvement on my style but i still keep it cartoony. Learning about values has made my drawings more in depth as I want my audience to feel like they could reach out and grab my drawings. ((((((I will be posting some Frank Frezetta))))))

I feel really good about my self portrait using hatching. I took my time even though I applied the lines pretty fast. I thought I paid attention to the planes of value and pushed my darks and lights where they needed to be, though someone else may see something I don't....... It looks like me too.xD

Doing the night drawing was not enjoyable. I was certainly having a hard time. It's not that I don't understand the concept, it's a matter of execution. I found myself constantly moving around trying to find a composition that I could handle. There was a lot of erasing because starting over seemed like the thing to do. In fact that's how most of the homework for this class has been for me. Time is not a factor because I give myself plenty of time to knock out a drawing, it's just that the finished product is not so finished. So maybe I should spend even more time really trying to get on the paper what I see in the real world. In class I work at a nice pace but I guess when I do the homework I rush ((using that term lightly)). After trying to draw a house, tree, streetlights and garbage bins, I went with the two cars under the streetlamp. It seemed easy enough but it still needs a lot of work. xD

I really love the body shapes of different women. Being here at MCA I constantly find myself surrounded by beautiful women and really anywhere else I go. As selfish as it may sound I wish I could have them all to myself.. So why not be able to capture their essence on paper, to have forever. Though it is basically porn,, I like to think of it as women in various positions. I'm not sure but some of the pictures I've drawn have some representations of different women from my past........(((MORE ON THE WAY))
